Ryan, I am going to make this as a word document and will show you where the various pictures need to be inserted but I think you need to reduce their size before doing so (I have not been able to do so).

In 2016, the Chemists ventured to the Winds yet again and here is a photo of the group who took part.

Here you see the regulars but also Ryan Steele, Jennifer Wight (next to Chuck), and our visitors Mary Rogers and her husband Cliff (blue coffee cup) and son (lower right).

We entered the mountains at the Elkheart Park trailhead and went in to photographers’ point where one gets a view of many of the range’s high peaks. The glacier on top of Gannet Pk, the highest, can be seen just behind the middle of three peaks somewhat to the left of center on the horizon.

On the hike in, we took some breaks and below you can see some of the crew

Continuing and hiking past photographers’ point, we reached Eklund Lk.

Instead of going straight ahead toward Island Lk, we turned right and hiked south to Mosquito Lk. where we camped.

To relax around camp after a hard day, many of the crew played cards

while Jack fretted (as usual ) about what was in store for the following day and that night’s dinner

and Peg and Mary Ann discussed how lucky they were to be in such a beautiful place

The next day, several of the group hiked to Pole Creek and up into the surrounding mountains

Ryan went hunting for a big one ( )

Ryan also found some beautiful flora and fauna

And got a wonderful photo of the night sky (looks like we had an Ansel Adams with us)

On the hike out we passed photographers’s point and a bit farther along took a last look back at the beautiful mountains
